I was glad to join the White Lion’s community fundraiser in January, which generated £1600 for Medical Aid for Palestinians.
It was fantastic to join New Vision for Women at St Margaret’s Church to collect warm winter wear and clothing for people during what has been a very cold winter so far.
It was good to visit the Change the Globe Boxing Club in Streatham Hill, which runs classes for people of all genders and abilities.
I joined local Remembrance Day events in Brixton and Streatham to remember all those killed in conflict and reflect on the horrors of war.
Last weekend, mosques across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland invited in neighbours to share tea and refreshments, alongside an insight into the day-to-day goings on of a busy Muslim centre of worship.
It was great to chair this week’s High Street Summit, bringing together local small businesses to discuss the issues they currently face.
