It was fantastic to visit pupils at Glenbrook Primary to discuss the importance of democracy, diversity, and political representation; explaining my role as MP and helping them understand how our political system works. It is so important for the next generation to understand how our democratic process functions and how they can exercise their rights and powers as citizens. My visit to Glenbrook coincided with their school council elections and it was an honour to hear some candidate speeches from future parliamentarians and cut the ribbon on the official school polling station.
