I had a really interesting and informative visit to Modern Synthesis, a local bio-materials start-up in Balham which is harnessing science to create the sustainable textiles of the future. The founders’ ambition is to displace animal- and fossil-fuel derived materials, an important initiative that will help us towards a more circular economy. It was great to discuss how they can reach out to the local community and create positive impact in our constituency.
