The pandemic has been a reminder that the working conditions we’ve won are never safe under the Tories, whether they’re threatening to rip up basic rights like rest breaks and holiday pay, freezing public sector pay or letting companies fire and rehire entire workforces with impunity.

But we have also seen glimmers of hope as people act together to protect one another. Unions have been at the heart of this, fighting for workers every single step of the way, standing up for proper protections and support.
