I was pleased to host a parliamentary screening of The Barrel Children, a powerful new documentary from award-winning journalist Nadine White, which explores the experiences of Windrush children separated from their parents and uprooted during their formative years. Excavating this history in its full complexity is vitally important work. We have a duty to understand and remember the Windrush generation’s immeasurable contributions to British society in the face of appalling racism.
