I had a great time last night attending Unison’s LGBT+ History Month reception and celebrating the vibrant LGBT+ community within the union movement. I am delighted that UK unions are actively championing the rights of the LGBT+ workers both inside and outside of the workplace.
The entire Labour movement must and will remain on the front lines of the fight against anti-LGBT+ prejudice and discrimination. It is incumbent upon us all to protect and preserve the civil liberties and human rights of the LGBT+ community.
