It was a pleasure to meet with constituents during a mass lobby on behalf of the Unite for Trans Rights campaign. We discussed the draft code of practice to the Equality Act published by the EHRC, following the Supreme Court ruling on the definition of ‘woman’ in the Equality Act 2010. I was pleased to meet with constituents advocating for trans rights. Trans rights are human rights and we must reject false divides between women’s rights and trans rights. Let’s fight for a society where everyone can live free from fear, prejudice or harm, regardless of their gender identity.
