Bell stands in a laboratory with two men. The man on Bell's left gestures whilst speaking. The lab is equipped with scientific instruments, gel tanks labeled with dates, petri dishes, and safety signage.

It was good to tour Anthony Nolan’s facility in Marylebone. We met the team to follow the journey of a potential stem cell donor’s swab, discussing their research and how they seek potential matches. It was good to ask them more about donor recruitment efforts and ongoing disparities facing minority ethnic patients seeking a good match for transplantation. There has been a worrying decline in recruitment to the UK Aligned Registry since the COVID-19 pandemic. It is vital that we address this lack of donor participation, especially those from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
