It uncovers compelling evidence of the British Crown’s central role in developing, expanding and upholding the Transatlantic Slave Trade. The book’s central contention that slavery was foundational to the British Monarchy is increasingly the dominant view. As an institution, it is vital for the Crown to acknowledge this and commit to repair.
