The Streatham Festival is one of the highlights of our local calendar, celebrating the diverse range of culture and talent in our area. This year’s was one of the best yet. I had the opportunity to interview high-flying lawyer and published author Nicola Williams at Streatham Space Project as part of the literature wing of this year’s festival.

We talked about her own experiences as a Black woman at the Bar and the ongoing relevance of her pioneering courtroom thriller Without Prejudice, which has just been reissued by Penguin Books as part of a new series of Black writing commissioned by Bernardine Evaristo.
