The Shadow Immigration Minister, Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP has spoken out in support of Lambeth Unison’s campaign for Elis Laundry workers to receive full sick pay, protective equipment and better hygiene breaks.
Bell Ribeiro-Addy, Member of Parliament for Streatham, said:
“I stand with Elis Laundry staff, who are calling for full sick pay, proper hygiene breaks and protective equipment. By failing to offer these things, employers are putting both workers and the general public at greater risk of Coronavirus. The Government has to ensure all NHS contractors are setting a good example by treating their workers fairly and following basic health precautions.”
