During Cabinet Office Questions, I asked ministers what discussions are being held within Cabinet and with European counterparts about the possibility of a new EU youth mobility scheme. I welcome the government’s stated commitment to rebuilding our relationship with Europe. Ensuring that young people can take full advantage of the work, study, training, travel and research opportunities available to them in Europe is important. Securing a scheme that makes it easier to do so would be a win-win with the added benefit of helping to reset our relationship with the EU.
