Lockdown has been another reminder of how important it is to have access to high-quality local green spaces (which we have a lot of in Streatham). Last weekend, I had the chance to join my first community litter pick in Brockwell Park. Unfortunately, more people has meant more litter in our shared spaces since the outbreak of coronavirus.

We all have a duty to look after the common spaces we share and leave them as we’d like to find them. In the wake of COVID-19, the need to make our neighbourhoods cleaner, greener and healthier has never been clearer. Our green spaces must be a focus as we look to rebuild.
