I hosted NHS Blood and Transplant in Parliament to help spread awareness about the ongoing need for blood donations. They talked to MPs about some of the challenges they currently face in their work, offered constituency level data and explained more about the services they offer. They also shared policy solutions that could save lives and money and reduce health inequalities as part of the Government’s 10 Year Health Plan. The NHS needs three blood donations a minute. It’s vital that the government listens to these to increase the uptake of donors and meet growing need.
