I fully support efforts to redesign the Tulse Hill Gyratory. We know this road system is outdated and unsafe, posing a continued risk to pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike – with sometimes tragic consequences. Upgrading this road system to make it safer for everyone should be a top priority but progress has stalled in recent years. I was proud to join local residents, who are currently pushing for TfL funding to upgrade roads, save lives and reduce air pollution. Prior to the pandemic, there were proposals in place to overhaul the junction. Hopefully, these can be revisited in the latest stage of TfL’s business plan. I am very grateful to Transform Tulse Hill and their local councillors, Olga Fitzroy and Saleha Jaffer, for leading the charge on this change.
