I’m making the most of the summer to get out and talk to people in the local community. Me and my team have organised a range of pop-up Streatham MP surgeries across the constituency to support people and businesses in our area towards the end of August and start of September.
It was great to catch up with the team over at High Trees Community Development Trust to discuss their efforts to tackle the digital divide.
From the donations we’ve received to my Laptops for Learning fundraiser, we’ve now managed to provide 37 Chromebooks to school children in the local area. Thank you for your generosity.
Getting a test is quick, easy, free and COVID-secure. I got tested on Friday and received my results in under an hour.
Yesterday, I delivered ten tablets to (my old primary school) as part of my ongoing efforts to get devices to the most disadvantaged students in our community and address the digital divide locally.
Last weekend, I had the chance to join the weekly community litter pick in Brockwell Park for the first time. Unfortunately, more people has meant more litter.
