A decade on from the Brexit referendum, the damage to our economy, rights and relations with the EU is undeniable. I voted against the implementation deal because these consequences were always clear. By any reasonable metric, we are worse-off than we were before for no appreciable gain. The Office for Budget Responsibility estimates lost growth as a result of Brexit at roughly £1 trillion over the last decade. We must keep working to rebuild our relationship with our European neighbours.
