🌟 Activism Academy: What to Expect
The Activism Academy is a three-day programme which aims to give students a behind-the-scenes look at how politics work in Westminster and in our local communities.
Day One – Parliamentary Procedure
Participants will spend the day in Parliament, where I’ll talk about my journey into politics. We’ll explore the role of MPs, how Parliament functions, and the impact of political organising.
Day Two – Local Government & Organising
We’ll focus on local government, with opportunities to meet local councillors and learn about the role of local authorities and election processes.
Day Three – Campaigning & Communicating for Change
We’ll hear from experienced campaigners about how to build effective campaigns, use social media strategically, and influence public opinion.
