Dear *|FNAME|*,

Today, MPs voted through the long-awaited Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill by a margin of 330 to 275. After a period of considerable reflection during which I heard from constituents, campaigners and organisations, I made the decision to vote against this legislation, outlining my reasoning in a statement which is over on my website. I recognise there are strongly held views on both sides of this debate, formed from deeply personal experiences. It is important to recognise that we are all working towards the same aim: limiting unnecessary suffering. As this legislation makes its way through future stages, I will continue to push for adequate safeguards and engage constructively with the debate on assisted dying.
