Dear *|FNAME|*,

This week, I was drawn to ask my first Prime Minister’s Question since Labour came to power. I used it to highlight the online trade in human remains and call on the government to end this. Remains looted during colonialism are being sold and auctioned on platforms like Facebook, Etsy, Gumtree and even Amazon, sometimes disguised or incorporated into modified items.

This commodification of human remains perpetuates a dark legacy of colonialism, exploitation and dehumanisation. I was glad that the deputy prime minister agreed to a meeting with the relevant minister to discuss how we can end this depraved practice and respectfully repatriate stolen remains to their rightful resting places.
