I was honoured to be invited to The Advocacy Academy’s 2020 Graduation Showcase last Thursday, as the organisation celebrated its sixth birthday. Located in the heart of Brixton, young people from Streatham and across the wider borough participate in the Academy’s annual training scheme for aspiring activists

The Advocacy Academy is a great training ground for the social justice movements of tomorrow, equipping future activists with the skills they need to make their voices heard. It was a brilliant night of storytelling, spoken word and song, which showcased the verve, talent and creativity of young activists in our area.
